Stephen Hayes is a Maine native and graduate of the University of Maine (B.S. 1974) and University of Maine School of Law (J.D. 1977).  He is an experienced litigator, has actively participated in mediation and arbitration since 1980, and holds a Certificate in Mediation from the University of Southern Maine. He received advanced training in negotiation, mediation, facilitation and other dispute resolution roles from the Project on Negotiation at Harvard Law School.  He is a devoted member of and general counsel to the American Baptist Churches of Maine.
